About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior DevOps and Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves monitoring Azure-based infrastructure and applications, responding to alerts, performing initial incident triage, and supporting technical operations. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, communicates effectively across teams, and is eager to learn from senior engineers while contributing to the reliability and performance of our systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Azure infrastructure and applications using Grafana, Azure Monitor, and other dashboards.

  • Respond to automated alerts and incidents within defined SLA timeframes.

  • Perform initial triage, assess alert severity, and execute standard remediation procedures.

  • Escalate complex issues to Senior DevOps Engineers with detailed documentation.

  • Document all alert responses, incident actions, and maintain accurate logs.

  • Follow runbooks and standard operating procedures for incident response.

  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours alert monitoring.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of alert definitions, runbooks, and operational processes.

  • Provide clear status updates during incidents and assist in post-incident reviews.


Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience with Azure services including Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, VMs, App Services, VNets, NSGs, and Azure Portal navigation.

  • Hands-on experience with Grafana dashboards, alert interpretation, Prometheus queries, and log analysis (Azure Monitor or ELK Stack).

  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge for cloud infrastructure and technical support for Azure-based applications.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools including Azure DevOps, Git, PowerShell or Bash scripting, SSH/Remote Desktop.

  • Experience with ticket management systems and incident tracking, and knowledge of escalation procedures.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple alerts.

  • Calm demeanor under pressure and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

  • Team player who can collaborate with senior engineers and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) required.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) desirable.

  • ITIL Foundation certification desirable.

  • Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, etc.).

  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).

  • Exposure to container technologies (Docker basics).

  • Experience working in 24/7 support environments, transport, or critical infrastructure industries.
