Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role 

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and scale reliable automated testing solutions for regulated clinical systems, ensuring traceability, data integrity, audit readiness, and high release confidence.

Core Responsibilities 

• Define automation strategy (Smoke, Sanity, Regression) using risk-based (GxP) approach 

• Own automation KPIs (stability, flaky rate, execution time, defect leakage) 

• Design and maintain automation frameworks (Playwright preferred) 

• Ensure requirement-to-test traceability and audit-ready evidence 

• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines 

• Collaborate with QA Lead on DoR/DoD and release readiness 

• Mentor QA engineers and conduct code reviews 

Quality Engineering & Test Automation

• 7+ years QA experience, including 4+ years in test automation

• Strong experience with Playwrightand Katalon / Selenium

• Programming skills in Python, TypeScript, C#

• API automation (REST)

• CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket

• Test management using Jira with Xray or Zephyr

• Evidence-driven testing mindset with focus on audit-ready results

• Experience working in regulated environments(finance, healthcare, pharma, etc.)

• Creation and maintenance of audit-ready documentation and execution evidence(reports, logs, screenshots)

• Controlled change and defect management aligned with regulatory standards

• Definition and adherence to automation standards (Definition of Done), including:

  • Deterministic and stable automated tests

  • CI execution with defined quality thresholds

  • Traceability between requirements, test cases, execution results and defects

  • Governed flaky test detection and resolution

Tooling Expectations 

• Playwright (preferred)

• Git, CI/CD pipelines 

• Jira + Xray/Zephyr 

• Reporting: Allure / HTML 

• API tools: Postman / Newman 

Nice to Have 

• Clinical systems experience: understanding ofGxP / CSV principles, familiar with 21 CFR

• Part 11 and data integrity (ALCOA+) 

• Performance or security testing exposure 

• Experience testing ML and Generative AI solutions 

• Understanding of evaluation frameworks (non-deterministic testing)and tooling 

• Experienceleveraging AI to assist with test efficiency 

• Experience with Langchain and Langsmithtooling
